Meet Our Departments

Land

The Land department comprises Immediate Land and Strategic Land. Both teams are responsible for identifying and securing suitable land opportunities within Croudace Homes’ operating region. This involves meeting agents, searching sites and maintaining a good knowledge of the market and planning matters within in a designated areas. All members of the department possess a sound understanding of the planning system, detailed valuation knowledge, an appreciation of technical matters and good negotiation and people skills. The Land department works closely with the in-house Legal team to negotiate contracts on new opportunities, in order to purchase development sites and the sale of affordable housing.

Meet Our Departments

Land

Design

The Design department has multiple responsibilities and the team works closely with all departments within the company. Design staff are required to obtain planning permissions that establish the characteristics and principles of the neighbourhoods and communities we build. Our architects, landscape architects and product co-ordinators ensure that due care and attention are given to the internal and external design, landscaping and specification of our developments, so that they meet both customer needs and company aims.

Technical

The Technical department produces architectural and engineering design information for the Build department. This includes house type drawings and specifications, and detailed engineering designs including layouts, roads, drainage and foundations. The Technical department is also responsible for preparing, submitting and obtaining technical approval for all works from Building Control, NHBC, Environment Agency, Highways, Drainage Authorities and any other regulatory body or agency appropriate to the project. Technical staff visit sites regularly throughout the design and build process to monitor build, provide support to the Build team and respond to technical queries.

Build

The Build department consists of two functions; construction and commercial. The construction function is fundamental to every project and is key to building high-quality homes. Site management staff work with subcontractors to effectively manage developments, ensuring health & safety is at the forefront of everything we do. Meeting our commitments to quality through site presentation and customer service is vital to our success and has resulted in multiple NHBC Pride in the Job awards for our dedicated site staff. The commercial function plays a leading role in all projects. Staff are responsible for monitoring costs, managing suppliers and materials, estimating the value of developments and researching cost-effective ways to build high-quality, sustainable homes.

Sales & Marketing

The Sales & Marketing department work closely with the Technical, Design and Build departments. The staff are responsible for promoting developments, facilitating the successful sale of homes and providing aftersales care to customers. Maintaining a competitive edge in the open market requires a multitude of disciplines, including: collecting and analysing data for market research purposes, creating marketing materials such as development brochures, promotional e-mail campaigns and digital advertising. Sales Managers assign prices to plots and liaise with on-site Sales Consultants to ensure that leads are efficiently qualified and sales targets are met.

Customer Care

Once our customers have purchased their new homes, our Customer Care team become their first point of contact for after-sales support and advice. The team adopts a proactive and compassionate approach to helping our customers settle into their homes. Our dedicated and reliable customer care staff are readily available to support customers and ensure any issues are promptly resolved.

Group Support Functions

Our Group support functions cover a range of disciplines including; HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Facilities and Corporate Affairs. Staff in these departments work collaboratively across the company to provide expert advice and support. They also play an important role in ensuring the company complies with working practices and standards and all aspects of the business run efficiently and effectively.
