A Project Manager/Site Manager has a pivotal role on any development project, with day to day responsibility
for managing all aspects of the site. Principally site based, the skill sets required include a sound knowledge
and proactive approach to safety, quality, technical details, production and financial awareness. Planning and
an involvement with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers all form elements of the role. Fundamental
to the position is the ability to develop a team on site and you need to possess excellent interpersonal skills
in order to extract the best from individuals to create a strong desire within the team to succeed.
Critically, a construction site is the shop window for the business and standards set reflect the Company as a whole.
Typical Roles: Build Manager, Project Manager, Site and Assistant Manager, Materials Controller, Quantity Surveyor.
Croudace has a constant requirement for suitable housing sites which varies according to market conditions.
Working through Croudace's operational area, the land buyers identify suitable sites for development
ranging from small sites with planning consent to long term strategic sites covering many hectares.
Opportunities through the open market can prove very successful but often the best opportunities occur
through “off market” acquisitions, which involve the buyer identifying suitable land or building a good
relationship with local land agents. Each site is different and requires new skills, including recognizing
what is most important to the land owner at an early stage.
The purchase of development land is very competitive and requires commercial awareness and a high degree of skill in ascertaining the value of land as well as the ability to negotiate. Where a site is to be purchased without planning consent then the expertise to fully understand a site’s planning potential is essential. You will need a sound understanding of all aspects of the industry including planning, design, technical matters, land law and contracts, services, finance and sales. This makes for a varied job and provides many challenges. In addition, excellent communication and social skills, good organisation and an understanding of all aspects of the industry are all requirements for this role.

Engineering: Our engineers play a central role within all Company projects, taking responsibility
from the planning stage through to construction. As a result, they enjoy a hugely rewarding and varied
workload. During the construction stage, the engineers will visit site regularly to monitor the successful
implementation of the design.
Design: Designers are part of an integral team including Landscape Architects and 3D Visualisers who create quality homes and environments for people to live in. The designers are a major part of the homes delivery process.
Typical Roles: Engineer, Designer, Technical Coordinator, Landscape Architect.
Our Sales and Marketing team work alongside our Technical, Design and Build Departments, adopting a holistic approach to coordinate the necessary steps of constructing and promoting a Croudace Homes development. The duties required to launch a development and maintain a competitive edge on the open market include collecting and analysing data for market research purposes, assigning prices to available plots, and creating marketing materials such as development brochures, advertisements for both print and digital platforms, and promotional emails.
The Sales and Marketing team enjoy a varied workload, which is comprised of both office-based and on-site hours. We are always looking for highly motivated, organised individuals with the ability to solve problems and collaborate with a variety of people, including colleagues, external contractors and the general public.
